My twinkies can play dress up with the best of them. They have it down to a science really. From the dresses, to the shoes, to the wands – it’s a dress up bonanza in these parts at any given time of the day. Hubs never knows who will be greeting him when he walks through the door at the end of his day. ;) Their most favorite part of the entire dress up process?
The crown.
Crowns are a major wardrobe necessity in this house. In my girls minds, a crown turns every frown upside down and can right any wrong. They’re magical, they’re wonderful, and thanks to Fancy Nancy, they’re “spectacular”. My girls play house wearing them, color pictures with them on and even dance interpretatively throughout the house in them. I say “interpretatively” because their moves aren’t easily distinguished as what most consider “dance” to be. They have mommy’s rhythm! ;)
I digress…
The finishing touch of a simple crown is what helps this recent newborn session hold a special place in my heart. This little girl got her first taste of dress up at her shoot…

*sigh*
Fancy Nancy doesn’t hold a candle to this spectacular little princess!

My girls were never this small……
Were they?
Amazing how fast time flies…

Someday, this little girl’s father will walk through their front door at the end of his busy day and be greeted by the most spectacularly dressed up little princess on the planet. Here’s hoping that these images help to take him back to where it all began! :)
